The purpose of this Code of Conduct is to promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all individuals, including volunteers, directors, and staff, engaged with LaunchWorks, Inc. (the “Organization”). This Code establishes clear expectations for behavior and supports the Organization’s mission to advance learning, innovation, and collaboration with integrity.
This Code of Conduct applies to all individuals involved with the Organization, including but not limited to directors, officers, volunteers, mentors, participants, contractors, and partners, during any LaunchWorks program, event, meeting, or activity—whether conducted in person or virtually.
Individuals covered by this Code are expected to:
Treat others with respect, dignity, and courtesy
Act with integrity and professionalism
Follow applicable laws, policies, and safety guidelines
Support an environment free from harassment, discrimination, or intimidation
The following behaviors are inconsistent with the values of the Organization and are prohibited:
Harassment, discrimination, or bullying of any kind
Abusive, threatening, or inappropriate language or behavior
Retaliation against any individual who raises a concern in good faith
Misuse of Organization property, funds, or information
Conduct that jeopardizes the safety or well-being of others
Individuals are encouraged to report any behavior that may violate this Code of Conduct. Reports may be made to the Executive Director or to a member of the Board of Directors. Concerns will be handled promptly, respectfully, and as confidentially as possible.
The Organization prohibits retaliation against any individual who, in good faith, reports a concern or participates in an investigation related to this Code of Conduct.
Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in corrective action, up to and including removal from programs or activities, termination of volunteer roles, or other action deemed appropriate by the Organization.
The Board of Directors is responsible for the interpretation and enforcement of this Code of Conduct and may amend it as needed to reflect best practices and legal requirements.
